I finally got a first gen and wanted to show you guys. Its an 85 GSL with 133k on chassis, 30k on new Mazda factory 12A, no rust, mint interior, runs & drives perfect. I got a pretty good deal because it has some damage to the front. It was hit while sitting in a lot. This guy really took care of it.. I'm impressed. I'll be looking to you guys for help since I've only had 2nd gens over the years.

Check it out and let me know what you think. I'm thinking it needs a fender, header panel, bumper (maybe) and headlight.

It looks like it will need all the parts you mentioned. You may have to hammer out the front corner of the chassis too, depending on how hard it was hit.

I think he may also need a bumper shock too.But that metal where the headlight mounts too maybe bent up a bit just by looking at those pics.Damn that paint was nice too.Stupid drivers and hitting parked cars in lots.

yeah it might have some mild frame damage.

find a used headlight assembly, and just buy a new fender and header panel (unless you find a cherry header panel).

Yeah, I hope there isnt frame damage. It drives straight and smooth but I cant tell until I take those parts off how bad it is. Its a shame since the paint was nice and well taken care of.
