I replaced the starter switch in my column and it did...well...pretty much nothing...my electric choke kicks on and off now...as well as all the guages and such...but when I turn to start nothing goes on under the hood at all...perhaps the starter just gave up the ghost?

I would take it to someone to get it checked...but I can't afford that right now

I had to get the switch for christmas...bummer

bummer, have you tried making sure all the connections are clean and tight between the starter and battery?

Take the starter to a parts store(Advance or Auto Zone). They have free starter testing.

beat the crap out of it with a screwdriver and it started right up...then died

then the starter quit working on me again...so I guess I'll just have to go get one sometime this week and replace it
