Thumbs up

Im sorry man, i lost it. i accept. But i now have a question.....i believe the carb isnt getting enough fuel. when the car is running (poorly) the fuel in the sight glass is level. does this mean the carb is getting enough fuel? do need to be looking deeper, internally now?

Good Morning Hereonout;

Again Sorry about that! I have a habit of not reading the whole story and this one taught me a lesson. Read The Fine Print:

I had the same problem when I installed the Holley Setup. I had a bitch of a time keeping it running and also did not see any fuel in the Clear Fuel Filter. Even though this is not the stock Nikki it has the same princible. Even with a Fram G-12 installed before the Fuel Pump and a Clear 99.9% Micron Filter before the Carb I ended up with Rust showing up in the Clear one.

(Sometimes there would be Fuel in it and other times not).

Rust ended up keeping Fuel from getting to the Carb.

I had gone through 4-Filters, drained tank, and blew compressed air threw the lines.

This may not be any help, but I thought it maybe something to toss in the Hat.

Another thing I discovered is that if the Fuel Return Line is Plugged it sometimes will

mess with the flow. At least that's what happened to me.

Good Luck

steve

P.S. Are you all still Freezing your asses off down there??? I was in Nashville 2 Thursdays ago and got to be part of this 1st major snow storm they had in 10yrs. No Fun!!!

Well its getting back up into the 40's and 50's, but yeah, it has been quite cold. nothing is showing up in the clear filter, not even a speck of dust/rust. odd. so there isnt any trash reaching the filter, im just wondering if something may be blocking the lines, not rust or little trash, something solid, maybe? if it was trash i would think i would see SOMETHING, wouldnt u think? then again it may be the return line, but i will be cleaning out the fuel lines, flow and return. hopefully after the 14th of feb ill have some cash, maybe, you know how women can be. anyways after the 14th ill be setting aside more cash for further investments. if the fuel lines are bad enough, ill just buy new metal fuel line and bend it, done it before, not too hard at all w/ the right tools. but like i said, im focusing on ther fuel system for now. and i got the file on how to remove rats nest, but i want to know still, what can i remove on the carb itself, and what HAS to stay.

This might sound dumb, but most fuel filters have a direction of flow, so your filter may be filling up slowly if your trying to gravity-feed it backwards.
