Ok, heres your challenge mother fuckers. day the car was bought, ran great. next moring ran like ****. hit the gas and wants to flood out. getting too much gas in my opinion. everyone said carb needed rebuilding, so i spent the money, tore it down, rebuilt most jets all gaskets and so on and so on. and no, the floats were not stuck. well i just put it back on the car and still im having the same trouble.... im pretty fuckign pissed off and in dire need of help/advice. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif

ok its time to start looking for vacuum leaks. the shutter valve, and the hose from the #2 aav to the back of the intake manifold are your prime suspects

where is this?....and what is it? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif let me ask everyone something...when i took the carb off the engine, there was a shutter looking thing where i had removed the carb, it was open all the way. what is it? and should it be open completely? what does it control?

shutter valve

the #2aav hose, or the mystery hose, on the passenger side of the engine, it goes from the rear of the aav(its on the top rear of the carb, one hose goes to the air cleaner) down to the lower rear of the intake manifold. since one end sits reight next to the exhaust manifold, it likes to split
