In High School Everyone has to have thier cool car. While everyone else has mustangs and camaro's I drive in an 85 rx-7. The funny thing about my story is that i get more chicks than they do. I also have a whole lot more fun doin' it to. I will street race any little punk in a mustang because i can ouhandle everyone of them. And let me tell you its one hell of a rush for a student in a small town. just goes to show you that there are classy women in the world today that have some real taste. I love the whine that my rotary makes at 7k on the tach. I guess that it's kind of adictive huh.

Hey Silver, wooffinn here. Hey man so true,so true!! In my neck of the woods, a rotary was definately an 'out' car. My frist was a '70 Rx-2 and by the end of school I had very few male friends but the ladies loved me. It's a rotor thing! My old Rx-2 was just a 12A but there was only one or two cars that could keep up. And the hottest babe of all[who now happens to be my wife] also drove a '72 Rx-2. That was ten years ago now and we still have and love our Mazdas/rotaries.

Lol, I thought the whole point behind rotaries was that size doesn't matter? It's the rotation of the ocean...

I can't stand mustangs either. I've encountered a mustang or two while I've had my rx7. Unfortunately the one I raced destroyed me. What do you expect though, my car was a virgin at the time, everything was almost stock. Anyhow, from experience, girls will look at the mustangs and say "you have a nice car", but when they look at my 80 rx7, they say "awwww,, your car is so cute". I prefer being "cute" then "nice". Their comment is usually followed up by, "take me for a spin in it". Don't get me started on civics (which most people in my town have and race). What girl says, "yeah, take me for a spin in your civic", as if she didn't drive in her brother's civic, her parents' civic, her friends' civics, her next door neighbors' civics, and the freaking civic she owns. :madgo: I'm steamed,,, bring on a civic to race!!!!!

well Wooflin, at least your parents got ONE good kid

I am looking at a 85 GSL-SE tomorrow. White, red interior, sunroof, ac, power windows etc, factory mags. With, get this, 127thousand KILOMETERS on it!! Thats what, 70 tho miles on an 85!! If its as good as he says, I will be joining your little fraternaty soonest !!

and the stangs can beat me in a straight line, the civics can have sewer pipe exaust, but none of em have the style, handling or 3 moving part engines that we(?) have. Only wish you could make em faster... for cheap
