Has anyone ever heard of a mustang cobra r (late 90's) that is really fast. Like 0-60 in aroung 3 seconds? I've never heard of a street mustang that's even close to that fast. If not, what's the fastest, late 90s, mustang ever made?

yeah, its the cobra r, they still make them i believe. But if you want to shell out about 70+k for a cobra, be my guest. Granted its fast, but put it up against a lotus exige (which is a little cheaper) and you have a mustang that looks like its standing still ... in a line or the twisties.

Yeah they still make them...well they did last year. Their is one in the show room at the tire shop 2 blocks form my house. Never been taken out on the road. Just sits their. Not much for mustangs but no car deserves that kind of treatment.

yeah, but any car can be fast if modded, I'm talking about a "drive away from the lot" mustang

Its a all motor carburated small block, thats the extent of the details he gives out, the whole group of them are very competitive and weird like that. He will let you look at the car all you want, but no details are given!

By the way a stock Cobra R is a low 13 second car, a 13.2, I guess thats not fast either for a "drive-away" , even the Cobra is a low 13 second car, stock.

That will be amost impossible to run 9 with small block and carb. unless a lot of juice and 14 to1 compression. I know a little about mustangs, i own a few of them. this one is into the 9s with 142 streetable.
