You can take the driveshaft in and have it shortened. It cost me about $100 for mine. I did a 13B engine swap in which I gave them the RX7 driveshaft for the front yoke and my Suzuki driveline for the rear, made to the length I needed. They also balanced it of course for the $100. It looks like a factory driveline.

I believe FORD used aluminum in the Aerostar. (Might be cheaper to get one from a wrecker and have ends put on it.
The Areostar has the same spline as a T2 trans??

or it uses the same yoke at the rear as the NA FB.

I'll prolly get the T2 shaft shortened and get the NA end welded on.Then later on get a set of replaceable U-joints for it then take it to a machine shop for machining to make it work.Just use the stock U's for awhile to move it with.

Isn't the T2 shaft shorter than the FB one?? If so this won't work will it? Is it possible to make a shaft longer without having to start over from the yoke?

I mght just use the stocker shaft then that comes with the car and get a T2 yoke welded on.I'm getting a T2 driveshaft from 85TIIDevil. Now I need to finish my 83 soon so I can start my newest driveline swap.I'm the only guy up here who doesn't leave the stock rotaries in thier cars. I love to swap.Especially a Carb to EFI one for the first time.I can't wait.

I was thinking of a custom shaft too but I thought that I can spend the money else where then worry about it later. It'll do for awhile anyways
