I've just recently fixed up and got my Rx7 running but since I got it while driving the RPM's refuse to surpass 4000 and it has trouble accelerating I've checked I few general ideas to see if that would solve the problem but nothing is making any progress on it. Anyone have any clue what could be wrong?

Check the accelerator pump and timing/ignition for starters. Follow the fuel and spark is my number one suggestion because that is what drives the engine. More information about your symptoms and what you checked already will help narrow the responses to help you out.

A carb rebuild might be in order as well.

Fuel filter could be clogged. If it's old u should change it anyways but it's worth a try. Fuel filter being clogged wouldn't allow for the amount of gas needed to reach the engine and if u just got it running again then it could be that. That's just my guess.

Ditto on the fuel filter. Also check your "teeter-totter" linkage to see if it is in the correct position. This linkage is for the secondaries.
