im as wondering what kind of gearbox cud i use on my 75??

i from new zealand so we have other names 4 our rx7s could i use a S1 or S5.do u have 2 shorten the drive shaft??

any info would b nice.

It was hard to read your post, but I'll try. Ok, you could use a complete transmission from an S1. You can't simply swap gearboxes. The shifter will still fit in the hole and the drive shaft does not need to be changed. You may need to slightly mod the rear tranny mount by 10-20mm though... maybe.



By the way, what's an NZ or uh kiwi doing with a REPU?

Cosmo 5- speed rib case will be a direct bolt on. I found one local that I need to convince its owner to give up. I think I am almost there.

It wasn't a direct bolt in to my 74 trucks. The rear tranny mount needed to be modded because the studs are 20mm offset. It has to do with the extra length the 5th gear housing requires. The studs may be in the same spot depending on model year. Blah, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Hmm, I see. The guy had a couple REPUs and Cosmos and told me that. Oh well, guess slotting a mount wont be too bad of a deal.

Im sorry for the last post i was in a rush.

well whats a kiwi doing with a repu?? well i wanted a rare rotary and i new a guy who was importing a couple of them so i got it stright away thats it i guess.
