Ok so the story goes like this....

Sold the Saab and bought a bunch of gear for the FC,

I am shopping around online and see this nice looking intake for a FC (so it says but the pic shows it on a FF type car)

It looks a bit like the intake Banzai used to sell for $100 but discontinued because the materials cost so much and they were charging so little.

The intake SR is selling costs $199

I buy the intake

Intake arrives a week or two later in a tiny box so I immediately wonder WTF

Open box and inside there is a cone filter and MAF adapter...... (yeah I paid $199 for what I already have and paid $40 for)

I call them , whoever I talked to gets pissy because they cant understand why showing the wrong pic on the site and sending me garbage for that price makes me want my money back.

This person tells me "Just send it back and we will refund it then"

I send it back. Sent it certified so I would be aware of when it arrived.

Someone there signed for it on friday October 11th at 10:45 am (Letter explaining the return and all my contact info inside of course)

I call them that day, "I dont see anything in our records, what was the RA number on the box?"

"The what?"

"You need a return accepted number from us in order to get a refund"

Good to know... anyway I call repeatedly to see if they found it, Today I am finally told that I am in the system and can expect a refund by Friday Sept 8th.

Thats the ad.

Anyways... watch yourselves. I cant say they are always like this but I can say that first impressions mean a freaking lot to me and I have no desire to go through this again.

Ive never had any bad experiences with sr either.

beside anyways why would you wanna pay $200 for a "name brand intake" anyways?

you said you already have a cone and maf adapter so what Exactly extra did you THINK you were getting? the one shiny pipe? so basically you wanted to pay 200 bucks to get a polished pipe about 4" long ?

me on my fd. bought aluminum intake pipes off ebay for $25 bucks and two K&N filters from SUmmit Racing total cost : $95 bucks not 200 and thats with TWO K&N filters!

I believe you can buy those intake pipe for fc off ebay check it out.

Yep thats exactly it. I didnt really feel like fabbing a TID and getting the sleeves to fit the 2" Turbo inlet to a 3" MAF outlet not to mention the pain it would have been to get the pipe at the right angle and length. Thats why I used money

Yep. Cheaper. Now then if they had that piping on ebay I would scoop it up. Guess what though.....

If you see some let me know. Ive been watching and the only time I see it is when someone is selling their old Banzai Racing unit.

Oh I have an S4 not an S5. They are different ya know?

Anyways I finally got my money back this morning.... minus the $50 restocking fee.
