I sure didnt think so...1FastT2 def. is not running the stock manifold. I called it the 60-1 b/c thats what he refered to it as. Read that thread though.

I know he doesnt have the stock manifold, but for a everyday preson who wanted more power could he/she just bolt this turbo onto a stock turbo 2 manifold.

RotaryRocket219 08-28-2003 12:22 AM

It sounds crazy that you could..so I'm going to say no. I have NEVER heard anyone say that it could before, except for now. Were not talking about a hyrbid stock turbo with a T04 compressor or something.

Show us a pic. The 60-1 is actually a TO4B based turbo. Most other TO4B turbos are fairly small. I have a TO4B turbo with a AR 60 compressor, that has a smaller compressor wheel than a stock TII turbo. What are the spec's on the compressor wheel?

15 psi and 400~ rwhp...just get a t-04R and be done with it.

That is the plan.

RotaryRocket219 I did read the link you posted. And I thank you for sharing the information! I'm just looking for something to pound down a bit more... Those are awesome numbers though, don't get me wrong!

Only reason I really inquired was the price. But I think I'll be happier just spending the money now... I used to be stuck on making power with the twins and having a "reliable" setup. I liked my car, but wasn't really where I wanted to be... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

A t04B isn't the same family as a T04E-T04S or T60-1. Now I don't know if a "B" will bolt to an HKS manifold, but thats not the issue here.

I'm telling you a "B" isn't the same family as a T60-1. Ask any turbo establishment. I had a Turbonetics T04B w/ Super V compressor wheel its basically a stock turbo with a larger cold/comp. side....The inlet is a 3" on it and bolts to the stock manifold....

A T60-1 bolts to an HKS (for instance) and sits about were the air pumps use to be...On my car anyway.

Anyway, a T04B is a cheap way to get better hp and have a better more efficient running turbo. Your will have to run larger injectors and an ECU chip OR additional controller.... ON this setup I ran a 12.0 @ 116mph back in 97.... I sold the entire setup to a friend and he ran the same times...My T60-1 produces way for power...no contest! BUT you have to make and or FAB a few things to make it work and will cost alot more unless you can weld...which I did myself

What you are talking about is a stock/TO4b hybrid. What everyone else is talking about is a TO4B, part of the T4 family along with the TO4E, 60-1, 62-1, 67-1, 68-1, HKS TO4S, and T04R. They all bolt up to the same flange. Like it or not, believe it or not, the 60-1 is part of the TO4B family.

IGY, your the man, thank you.

Theres an example. Thats a TO4B turbo, that is NOT gonna bolt onto a stock manifold, it takes a TO4 manifold to run it. They make the "hyrbid" turbos that have different compressors, clipped wheels, etc.
