its shows lean my oo2 metere never roses the stoich range that is the max...the other thing is somethime on idel when i rev it gives of white smoke then when at normal idal it starts to give of whte smoke....could it be that my turbo has leaked seals or i have damaged my engine...the other thing is if the crank case ventilation is plugged would the car give white smoke...and when gunned would it give off so much smoke as if on fire.....
hey 13BAce do u think if it is possible for u to help me out and let me know on the vaccum diagram which exact vaaccums u meant cause i looked and i could not be sure....it would be really help full if you could help me out with this.....thanks
If you are wayyy too rich (generally to the point where the engine starts to misfire)then your o2 meter will read fully lean. I've seen it happen many times. The person trusts their gauge too much and keeps adding more and more fuel. Meanwhile smoke is pouring out the exhaust. I'm not saying thats your problem, but just be aware of it as it catches out young players.
By the way, removing the airpump makes the too rich at idle. You will generally notice a bit of a surge at idle and fluctuating vacuum. But its not normally enough to make clouds of smoke. When you get your ECU, adjust the fuel at idle until the engine makes the most vacuum. Maybe (fingers crossed) your problem will go away.
