Cool exhaust smoke
#1
ok last week i pulled the 13b out of my 85 gsl-se, and replaced it with a 13b out of an 84. well everything was going fine until it came time to start it. i turned the key just far enough to turn the dash warning lights on, then i turned it more to start it and all the power shut off. i gave the battery a charge and cleaned the terminals and thet fixed that problem. i tried again and it turned over but wouldnt start, so i feathered the gas a little bit and it sounded like it was about to start but wouldnt get there. well, finally it did after about 5 minutes of cranking. everything sounded great but i looked behind me and my whole yard and most of my neighbors yard was completly fogged up with exhaust smoke. the smoke poured out of there until the car was at normal temp and then it looked normal. haha, what the hell happend? my car runs great now and ive been driving it for about a week and nothing seems wrong with my car. i was going to take a picture but i couldnt find my camera in time

You did your neighbors a favor! They would have had to pay hundreds for insect control that effective.
Where was the '84 block being kept, and for how long? Maybe when it got mothballed someone filled it with oil to keep it from rusting up.

haha, good point. now that you mention it, i havent seen many bugs around lately. the car was in a friend of mine's garage. he stopped driving it because he got a new car. it was sitting in his garage for about a year and a half he said, so i made an offer and took it out of his hands. my car is still running great
