Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't xs engineering find that in some cases you can actually lose around 20hp from directing the wastegate back to the downpipe. They were doing test with and without it tied back in. I believe it had to do with the location you choose, current exhaust flow and backpressure rates, as well as maybe turbo size. Personally I love the way it sounds when it opens up, means business. When I cruise around town, zipping from light to light the wastegate noise is never a problem at those boost levels. Its only when you are really hauling *** that it is a problem, at least to me.

For now I'll just leave at the high boost setting (14psi) so it won't catch too mcuh attention during street driving.
