well i have been driving on my single turbo for a while now and i noticed today when i backed out that there is a SMALL puddle of oil on the ground. i know it is coming from the oil feed line where it connects to the turbo. i am going to fix this today, that is no big deal. my question is do you guys "and gals" think that this might be causing my high idle? i have searched all over for the cause of my idle being at 2k. i have looked at all the vacuum lines, adjusted the throttle screws, rechecked the lim and uim for a leak. i just cannot source this leak anywhere. i was thinking maybe i didnt tighten the midpipe together enough. any ideas where i should search would be appreciated.
thanks

i doubt having an oil leak there would cause a high idle. Have u dont the throttle body mod? Has your car always had this high idle? Or did it occur after some mod? Its more than likely a intake leak. hmmmmm, vac leaks would be easy to detect on boosted cars.. But can you make any boost while revving/under no load? If you could u could jsut listen for it...

i just finished my single turbo conversion like about three weeks ago. i did not have the high throttle until after i finished my turbo swap. i tried to spray around with some carb cleaner but i never saw or heard a leak anywhere. also it only does it sometimes. more like 8/10 times i drive it it has the high idle, and when it does come back down to normal it has a bouncing idle. about the boost i dont understand what you mean. when i am driving it builds and holds the boost at exactly 13psi where i have it set at. i have never tried to build boost at while sitting still if this is what you mean.

That what I mean, just revving the engine. Well what I would do is use a piece of vac hose, or silcone, like 1-2 feet long, hold one end to ur ear and probe with the other, best way to find a vacuum leak. Your cars performance is hurting with a vac leak... Did u mess with the injectors at all?
