There is actually some system that Rotorsports was talking about at one time that involved some sort of compressor that would cool the air below ambiant temps and eliminate the intercooler. Wish I remembered all the details. It wouldn't work because of cost or something....i forget now. Anyways i'm thinking out loud here.

i think ill go with an intercooler..... and like water injection, use what ever that is as an extra insurance

well i know ford with use an addtional ac condenser in the intake of the next gen of lightning and to boost power 35% at the flick of a switch and it is safe because r134 is nontoxic when it burns

so if you dont mind no ac then build a box around your condenser and plumb the air lines to it easy package and no intercooler good sleeper setup for none rx7 setup

also for your idea i think i would use aborigini or raghead midgets they can handle 120+ degrees for temp

they had a sale last week on midgets, damn if i new they were good for something (no effence little people) then i would have bought some!

damn! and you could just equip them with some super soakers!
