More than likely it's an O-trim since people rarely use P-trim 58's. Actually an O-trim AR.70 with work on a stock setup but the best choice is the aforementioned AR.84 housing. Like Chris said... AR.60 T04E compressors is not the same as a 60-1 compressor but a T04E housing can be milled for a 60-1 blade.

O-trim AR.58's are rarely used on Honda's because a T4/T3 AR.63 or AR.82 have proven to outperform the straight T4 AR.50/.58 setup. AR.58's are commonly used on SR's, KA's, V8 twin setups and other stuff like that.

If your motor isn't ported go with a .96 A/R...If its ported use a 1.00..... I have ported motor w/ .70 comp and 1.00.... great all purpose turbo..and you'll knock on 500rwhp door then...

whiplash, elaborate on your setup please.

i have a 60-1 w/ .70 comp and 1.15 divided turbine and my lag is enough to take a nap. i am running a large streetported motor and have a greddy fmic. i can punch it in 4th and start to build boost at 43-4400 and not full til like 5200 rpm. totally disappointed with my setup. i know this is capapble of a lot of streetable horsepower. what gives?

i thought the didvided was to help spool quicker. the shop that i bought the turbo from has a 1.00 div and a .96 open- how would the open work on the divided manifold and would it drop my spool to the upper 3k rpm range w/ full boost acheived around 43/4500 rpm?

spoolin:

My setup sounds pretty much like yours, however my IC tubing is very straight and short which really helped the lag issue I once had too....I have T60-1 .70 comp--1.00 A/R turbo, Spearco 27 x 8 x 4 core and I have a HKS external w/g w/ 10psi minimum spring and with the boost off at 10psi, my max boost is about 8.5 -9psi...so that a 1.5psi drop....not bad.....Now I too have that slight lag to you speak of, but have learned to rev the **** out of each gear to not see to much lag.....scary sometimes too. I wish I could send pictures on my dumb laptop , but actually my setup is almost exactly like Alf's (soul ***'n)'s TII when he had a t04 setup...and I didn't copy him either, but its the closet thing I can describe for ya...

The best advice I can give is to keep the IC tubing straight and simple and the revs high....but you all now this anyway...also that 1.15 A/R in my opinion is getting into the drag world, but makes gobbs -o-power...its a balancing act sometimes I know
