T04e Turbo With 60-1 Wheel And Wastegate. Turbo has about 2500 miles on it. It has no more shaft play than when I originaly bought it. It has an 60 front housing and a 58 back housing. It comes with new V-Band flange and down pipe adapter. The Wastegate is a brand new Innovative 38mm with dump flange. $700

I was not looking to go single yet. But, I came accross this deal that seems very cheap. Although im not sure what the housing sizes should be. Is this just a regular T04e turbo? Do all T04e turbos have a 60-1 compressor wheel? What do ya'll think about this setup? What are some questions to ask the seller? I asked him to send me some pics, I'll post them when I get them. I know I need to ask him if it comes with the oil supply/drain lines. I also know I will still need a manifold and dp, but this looks to cheap to pass up. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

So, what is average? The smaller the exhaust side the quicker it spools, to a certain extent, right? What makes a T04e a T04e, the blades?

thats way to small. go with a .84 with stock ports. .58 is for hondas

Rotor26B 07-18-2003 03:47 PM

this is for an fd i asume?

94touring 07-18-2003 04:01 PM

Yeah thats too small, you need at least a .84

The ad is in the Rx7 section of thepartstrader. I just assumed it came off a FD.

You also need to find out what trim ex wheel it comes with.. you want a P-trim.. if it's a O or N trim it's way to small.. If it has a P-trim wheel in it you can just buy a .84 housing and swap it out.. I actually have a couple of extra used ones here in my house. Also a 60-1 is a 60-1 it's not a to4e.. they may have taken a to4E or B a/r 60 housing and bored it out for the 60-1 wheel to fit, but it would then be a 60-1 with a a/r 60 housing https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png .. also for reference the 60-1 is the same size compressor wheel as a To4S... If your shooting for over 420 hp I would put a .96 or 1.0 ex housing on it, but you need to be absolutly sure that it is a P-trim...

also if you put a straw in your mouth and go outside and run about a mile while breathing only threw that staw you'll have a good idea of what your engine would feel like with the .58 housing.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
