the guys here in kiwiland use 1980's toyota hulux rear ends(i dont know if you guys know what a hilux is, its a wellside/flat deck truck) the rear end is the perfect leangth, just have to cut the old mounts off, and add new ones.. im told the brakes can get transferred pretty easily too...

honestly a proven rear end on many occasions... and allmost all of them are fact LSD

just some more pointless information...

Peace

OKay, I've owned 3 AE86 GT-S's and Turbo'd T25 powered Levin. I've never had any problems with 9 psi of boost on a 4age with stock AE86 GTS rear end. i know other AE86 owners who has 190 HP turbo'd ae86's with stock axels running on aftermarket LSD's.

I think as long as you keep the axels and simple upgrade the LSD into a KAAZ 2 way you should have no problem.

I own a KAAZ 2 way lsd in my current NA 4age powered AE86 GTS. that diff might cost you $800+ but its well worth it and its beefy as hell. it also makes alot of chatter driving slow in parking lots and stuff.

i think maybe for the guys swapping in 13BREW's they might want to consider a full rear end swap... but no need for anything under 250 hp.

I would like to know more about the conversion as well. Someone should post a sticky about the topic. I am serious about doing one but wouldnt know where to start. I would do it myself so A LOT of information would be helpful! I am sure i am not the only one who feels this way so thanks in advance!
