i also have a 86 toyota and a 88 6 port with a trans im thinking to swap. i am very concerned with the rear braking as a friend had a 12a in a hatchback and broke the rear twice.

its not far from the radiator, id say 4-5 inches, and i had to put a notch in one of the underbraces b/c the alternator wouldnt let the hood close. if the rearend becomes a problem, (which i hope it wont) i still have my gsl-se rear, ill see what i can do with that. happy rotoring

thats a nice setup GSL-SE. engine..

Did you finish the Wiring?

Here are pics of my conversion .

I still need to figure out what to do with the power steering rack..should i whange it to rack and pinion or stay oem..I will have to relocate the ps pump if i plan on staying oem.

I used the supra rear and a 79 Tranny which fit perfectly in the shiffter hole and mount bolts fit perfectly..that is is you use a tranny mount from a automatic sr5.

Also this car is for sale if anyone is interested

I am located in the Garnerville Ny east cost.
