I don't understand why so may people have ben spreading hate for the RX8. I kinda know where the FD guys are coming from. Their car out performs it. But it was never supposed to be an RX7 replacement. Anyway, I hear trash talking from supposedly die-hard rotary guys. It's a shame. If I had the money I'd get one of every rotary Mazda...I love them all. I think some of it is jealousy, and spite because they can't aford it or something. I used to be like that with FD guys. I had my scrappy 1st gens and beatup FC's, and the FD guys to me were snobby elitists....I envied them, but hated them at the same time. As time went on, I liked them. The chances of me ever owning an FD are slim, but I still admire them. Anyways, as an RX8 owner I feel like all the RX7 guys hate me...sucks..I was, well still am one of them. I love all rotors....just I own an RX8 now.

the 8's are sweet..... especially ones in black, grey or blue. But not all FD guys are pompus jerks.... just like any other people, you have the good and you have the bad.

Bottom line is, for the money, there isn't a better sports car you can buy (not to mention it's rotary powered).

your can't make everyone happy all the time, the 8 was a step (although a timid one) in the right direction. Let's see what they do with the next 7?

As for the performance part, I think they perform pretty damm good out the box...and they are only a $600 ECU mod from running with stock FD's....Man, this car offers sooo much for so little it's crazy. If people would look at it as I do maybe it makes sense. I compare it to the last NA rotary we got...say a 91 RX7 GXl 2+2. The RX8 smokes it in every performance category, and probably cost less(adjusted for inflation), and offers way more practicality, while offering better saftey and comfort. Amazing!!



For turbo rotaries...the FD was the cream of the crop....

I know the car isnt quite up to Mazda's power claims, but when was the last time you saw a N/A rotary putting out 190HP to the wheels stock?



It's my first rotary, I love the style, I can use 4 seats, and the price is very agressive. For those that deride it cause a 7 is faster, has more HP, handles better, etc. All I can say is, no **** sherlock. You figure that out all by yourself?

I test drove an RX8 Auto today....it sucked...I think it's gay. Slow unresponsive car. Same great handling, brakes, styling, as the 6 speed, but *** slow 4 ***** gears. I posted a thread on RX8 club, and got all the ***** uptight bitch *** auto owners to state that they "like their snazzy rides" what a bunch of bithces. I think I have had all I can take from that forum. Man they whine and bitch about everything.

"I got a squeak in the morning, when the moon's out, and it's below 65 degrees"

"the seatbelt is hard to put on"

yea thats pretty harsh they aint all yuppies. id hate seeing little malfunctions or things wrong with my car if i just bought it outta the showroom. i dont know if id bitch about it but thats another story.
