Exhaust System - Any Info?

I think the motor is a great candidate for turbocharging, theres no overlap at all. All it needs is a bit of a street port to eliminate that 'idle' duration between exhaust and intake and advance timing a bit not to mention just more flow, and with a small turbo it will probably be a pretty pimp setup.



but for NA performance I think most of the gains are from lighter rotors and intake design/tuning, and newer engine management... It would probably be better off with a peripheral port exhaust for NA application if one wanted to build it up... the side exhaust ports have just cleaned up emissions and helped fuel economy.

those ports helped power too, my buddies bp 13b did 213rwhp and the renisis does 240rwhp in star mazda trim. thats 27more hp than a bp out of the box! plus it will pass smog easily
