the new ports arent as ideal as the older P.P for turbo charging.

Im sure a bolt on kit will get at least a 50-75 horsepower improvement.

They have kits for the new Z already.

I meant a bolt on TURBO kit, not a exaust.

Exaust will probably get you about 10hp if that.

yeah i dont think an exahsut will do as much for the new engine, i think its gonna be less sensitive to back pressure

As you said tho, I guess we won't know about the exhaust system until it's at the dealer. This new cat tech may increase backpressure more than the average system. The question (for me at least) is, what can be bypassed without upsetting the ECU enough to trip out. You can pretty much guarantee though that if the aftermarket brings out exhausts that bypass some of the bottlenecks it will never get CARB cert'd.

This sux. Maybe it makes sense to wait for the FE3S. That reminds me, anyone know the chassis code for the RX8?

a few things covering many peoples posts. The rotary engine is naturaly quieter engine then pistons. The new engine in the

RX8 has different port placement for the exhaust and the intake, making it a lot cleaner running. So io think that you could renove some exhuast stuff or bigger tubing to free up some power. the backpresure should not be a problem. and about putting a turbo on it the compresion is a bit high on the rotors. I dont think Turbocharging would help that much.
