try and take as many pics as possible. it would make things much easier for those other people who would also like to do the swap.

The T3/T4 turbo is fine. I Ran a T3 60-1 on a 86 n/a motor in my 1st gen rx7 at 19psi. 11.6et and low 120mph times in the 1/4 mile. Very good throttle response.

Im new here and I want to do the same swap.Right now I have a 85 sr5 that Im stripping down because it needs a lot of work.I also want to put the rx7 motor in mines. Are you going 13b turbo? or 12a?And please give me all the info needed to make this swap possible.Right now I am changing thr rear end to a gts too so I can have disc brakes.

well here goes my first post on yet another forum.

I too have a 85 'rolla that needs an engine and tranny bad. i figured i might as well breath some rotary life into it. I am confident that i can do it (skill wise) but it would be REALLY nice to have ssome sort of 'ive done this before heres what NOT to do'. all my searching leads me to non working links or unwritten articles. I know people have done this swap plenty of times but why is it so damn hard to find any testimonials (with pictures)? im ofcourse not ruling out my own stupidity as far as the search is going, but that only goes so far (i should of stumbled up on it by now!) , any way nice forum, good resource... by the way, as evident by my post i am very interested in this topic... good luck to the few of us that are asking this same question about rotary rollas.

If your going to use a turbo setup the GTS rear will not work. It won't handle the power. I just got done helping a buddy of mine put a S2000 motor in, he ended up going with a ford rear end, cause we could not track down a toyota rear that will hold up to the power.

I told him i was going to build one also but make mine rotary....but that will be some time later.

If your not planning on making any serious power then you should be ok with the gts rear, you could even use the rear off a toyota pick up.
