Umm, Rolls Royce also had the licence for rotary engines. I think they abandoned the idea because of high fuel consumption (bit of a joke when you look at the consumption of the 6.75L V8!)

actualy benz did have a concept rotary car it was a 4 rotor, i did some reserch back in the day and it was way cool, and the vette had a 4 rotor engine that was actualy 2 13b's bolted together. but reserch was halted when the one guy retired.
