I was talking to a friend of mine who's a big Nissan nut the other night. He knows I'm into RX-7s so he tells me that Nissan actually made a version of the Silvia with a rotary engine. Was he just yanking my chain, or was there really such a model?

If so, who made the engine that was used? Was it a Nissan, or did they buy a Mazda(or some other manufacturer)?

I'm guessing it was a nissan motor. More than one company bought rights to use the Rotary, not sure if nissan was one of them but...

Chevrolet had a concept 4-rotor Corvette

Ford had a concept rotary mustang I believe as well.

Its an interesting site, but it doesn't go into any details about the engine.
