Thumbs down

Why hasn't anyone tried a mid engine rear wheel drive setup for the rotary? Is it because of the already great weight distribution? obviously a transaxle would have to be fashioned, but still, wonder how it'd handle.....

Yea there is a rotary delorean on this board somewhere, use the search function. AS for midengine, RWD that is something someone is going to have to make (the delorean is rear-engined like the bug...) I was thinking of doing that with a vw. Just throw an adapter plate on that rotary, bolt it to a bug tranny, flip the ring and pinion, stuff the whole thing into a car backwards, you got yourself a mid engined RWD car.
