Default Rotary with Front Wheel drive?

I have a 2000 Honda Insight Hybrid. It is powered by a 63hp 3 cyl sidewinder engine. It weighs only 1750 pounds and I am thinking that something over 200HP under the hood and chopping the top to make a roadster would make one hell of a sports car.

Is there a rotary that had front wheel drive?

Wouldnt you just know it, the car I need to part out for an engine/tranny is a very rare car. So I guess wont be parting out an R130 to get a transmission. The tranny in the 2000 Insight is way to fragile for any rotary engine.
