Will the RX2 mount be able to be drilled to take this engine from my rx7 and drop it in the glc if i get one?
I might drop this SE engine in a GLC if I don't buy this Series 5 GXL I'm looking at.Then doing a turbo swap on the Rx7 using the SE cover OMP pick-up and pan.
thanks

I know all about first gen 7 swaps I just want to learn about the GLC swap.It sounds as easy as it was putting this engine in my car.Providing theres enough mounting metal to make the Rx2 mount hold the SE engine in it see as my 13b is 10mm longer then a 12a.

The 13B will fit with no problem. It will bolt up in the same position as the 12A. The difference in length will be offset at the tranny mount which, infact, is not much.

That's an idea though. On that particular 12A the intake plenum was drilled and tapped on the engine side. Through the AVC block off seems easier...........hmmm, why didn't I think of that.

It is but you got to use the 12A front cover. The only issue I see is the relocation of the turbo. There is not enough room between the strut tower and the motor for the turbo and the manifold. You might have to do a custom setup and locate the turbo where the battery originally would be.

Cool. I need to drop this driveline in something and the GLC's wieght is very nice. Trying to find one here in good shape is like trying to find a rust free first gen 7 tho.I should have bought the GLC I saw last fall, damn!
