Is that a Rx7 strut brace????How did you wire your coils for it?

spiceisler 01-02-2003 08:15 AM

I have a coulpa ways to wire the coils. For this car I used the conventional system Mazda used. The original (+) positive wire from the ign. to the coil was wired to the (+) on the leading coil. The trailing coil was then wired in parallel ( with the leading of course). Two sets of wires was then routed from the (+) and (-) sides of each coil to the ignitors, making sure (+) to (+) , (-) to (-) from coil to ignitor. Easy!

I also have an article from MazdaSpeed.

I've also used 2 MSD boxes with a crank angle sensor and (4) coils. If you want to know more about that one let me know.

And yes that was a 1st Gen. Rx-7 strut bar.
