Dowelling and pinning the motor is the same thing. I honestly don';t recommend it unless you plan on going for heavy-duty power (500+) and are experimenting with stuff. I'm pursuing that league with this latest engine build of mine and I still opted out to pin it.

oh wow, OPPPSS I ment pinning and studding the motor. Well I am trying to make a very long lasting 300-350 hp engine, so I thought I would pin and stud it for funs.
