the 20b stuff wont work as a 2 rotor, its got the bigger tension bolts, and the front iron has the bolts going the wrong way.

the 20b* and 13b cosmo engines use the fd intake bolt pattern, so the cosmo or fd intakes interchange.

*20b is like 1.5 intake manifolds

ok so 20B plates are out of the question. How about RE plates with fd housings?

thanks.

ok so I have decided that I am going to buy a full 13b-RE engine. From taking all my engines apart I have found that (even on the blown engines) all the side plates have been perfect. Even on my high high 100,000 mile engines. If I buy a 13B-RE (even if it is blown) am I going to take the plates, intake, alternator waterpump and everything, and basically just replace the housings with FD housings.

I could either buy all the RE plates for 300$ each, RE intake for some more, or buy a complete engine for as low as $1500 (I have found so far). And like I said before it doesn't matter if it is blown or not because I am going to be rebuilding anyways.

Drop in some 8.5 compression rotors, FD housings, little oil mods, compitition brearings and such and be off.

How does this sound? Better plan?

Ok well guys, my RE plan is falling through. It just doesn't seem like THAT much of a gain over just a normal s5 turbo. So my plans have changed. With the money i have saved I will be able to splurge on the engine a little bit.

Now that I am going s5 t2 4 port, would you change or add anything to my plan? I am thinking doweling AND pinning the motor. I'm not sure how much better I could make it. What do you think of that?

Thanks.

(BTW I am looking for a blown s5 t2 engine )

Dowelling and pinning the motor is the same thing. I honestly don';t recommend it unless you plan on going for heavy-duty power (500+) and are experimenting with stuff. I'm pursuing that league with this latest engine build of mine and I still opted out to pin it.

Btw, crjrx7 on the evil forum may have a blown S5 T2 engine for sale. PM me for his # or just send him a PM over there.
