Starting Work On My First Motor

Well, I just got my 'spare' motor for the GSL-SE. It's an 88 13B from a GXL w/ everything included. I picked it up yesterday and last night I pulled the pressure plate and clutch off, and tried to turn it over by hand. It was good and carbon locked so I put some ATF in the plug holes and let it sit about 15min... came out and tried turning her over and she's smooth as a dream now. Better yet, I have 6 apex seals intact too, score! So, this weekend begins stripping the motor and getting stuff ready to do a 'refresh' type rebuild and possibly a street port.



Anyways, just wanted to thank nopistons in general for having so much information about the rebuild available. I think I've read every thread in here (along w/ watching the bruce turrentine vid) to get prepared.
