if you don't want to tear it down, you might try adding a quart of lucas oil stabiliser in with your next oil change. not a cure-all by any means, but it may help reduce the amount of smoke.



one thing you really need to be mindful of if you do drive that car now is if you're burning more oil, your rotors are going to get gunked up and that can create hot-spots....hot spots = boom, so water injection would be a very useful thing to look at, just to keep the combustion chambers clean.

 

Another additive called engine restore will work with GREAT results!Look on e-bay,its a brittish thing and anything that survives those cold mornings after mornings gotsta be good!
