Port Runners; n/a vs FI?

Its cool man.
While I am not an engine builder and do not profess to be.. .I have worked with builders on assembly and teardown of my motors and have road raced different ports for 14 years. I will say this , the porting you refer to and even my wildest "street ports"on N/A really dont amount to a very large usage problem on the street.
In other words it doesnt amount to the same effect in what many people assume as an extreme cam , head porting and a stroked motor does on a piston motor.
However initial idle and roll out needs a little higher than stock (negligible).It's when you start bridgeporting and all out race PP's is this really a concern.
In my opinion, just me, the gains of small street porting is not worth the price of the tear down and rebuild.
For seat of the pants feel it is there for larger ports.
There is the numerical figures that would show your correct but it comes down to the usage and feel factors.
If 10 K means RPM ,then you will fall flat around 7+ and just spinning above that.
I am sure the builders here can assist and I am sure they will. Stay with your ideas.Its what make it great and its your build!

Couple of things.
A rounded bevel is meant to increase flow by increasing velocity on the closing edge of the port.
On the ito port it is also there to make the side seal behave. On his template you can leave one mm on the opening side up where the port closes you dont need to worry about the side seal. Mock up an engine an spin it arround slowly. You will see what I mean.
I personally think that poishing the primarys till you can see your face ist the way to go. There is only one inch of runner left after the injector so anything about atomization is bunk. I have done it on 3 cars with aftermarket ems and it creates no problems. Few adjustments and the T-pumps and your good to go.

well; I dunno why the picture of my primaries came up so shiney, I'd imagine it was the flash. They have more of a brushed AL finish to them; which I believe is the middleman of the well-flowing polished port, and the turbulant but well-mixing stock cast...
Oh, and when I bring up streetability I'm mostly refering to the fact the car is eventually getting ITB's and I'm wanting to keep that in mind on the build... and all I'm after is 13's...
