I ended up getting a modified one. Cheaper than getting a adjustable one locally.



The FD will work but they guy reminded me as the engine gets old I could start having problems with oil blowing by thru the oil rings and having smoke issues. This engine is used and will not get rebuilded for a while.

I think it's debatable on whether or not you have to shim the front spring, or replace it. The FC, and FD manuals both say that the bypass pressure is 156psi... The spring could have got soft after years of 190-210*f oil at 156psi, so maybe replacing it is for the best...

Yeah I know, but it's not really an upgrade, it should be replaced either way, years of use have likely mde the spring weaker.

fd springs actually break. maybe 1 in 15?
