Oil Pressure on 13b Cosmo
#1
Guys,
So the 13b RE Cosmo uses the same oil pressure regulator as the FC (70psi)
This is what I heard. So this engine has a little of FC and FD.
Anything other interesting facts I should know about.
I'm thinking off getting teh oil pressure regulator modified if it is the same as the FC to be able to handle 2 oil cooler to cope with a pressure drop it will cause.

I just got a response from pineapple racing. They can modify a new one or I can use an FD?
I thought FD will be too hight of pressure..

i run the 115psi bypass in my cosmo 13b, need to go with a thinner oil then 50w or 20w50 now though due to the high *** presure when oil is cold.

2 shims from mazdatrix that came with the 115 psi bypass
Oh I thought you were using the FD one. You are using the adjustable one from them.

if you have a look at a regulator, theres a pin that holds it together (ive never pulled one apart, but the spring and plunger are available for the non fd), and then it comes apart. sooOooo it looks like its possible to pull it apart and shim the stock spring, 80-85 psi would be good. fd is something like 100...
plunger is 0221-14-115
non fd spring is 0221-14-116
