Off-shelf oils I have seen tested at max of generally 50,000 psi film strength, and I have witnessed additives increase film strength to over 200,000 psi without use of any solid products that could cause buildup (teflon, etc).


What's the trade off though. Some additives cause the oil to foam a lot, which is worse than not putting in the additive

Never saw any comparison in terms of foaming before/after with the additive..



Might be something to look into.



This is the stuff I saw in person tested at the college. Rycon 1.



I also saw the Multi-spray in action compared to other general purpose penetrating lubricants like WD-40 or "Moov-it", etc. The Multi-spray didn't get gummy afterwards, and it crept surprisingly well along surfaces and into cracks.
