looks good , but dont u think thats a bit much of overlap on those primary ports with the rotors notched like that.

The ports have got about 1/3 of the overlap a bp would have, so I don't think it would be to much. I`m not to worried about it since I`m looking for power between 4000-8500 rpm.. I think the bevel will make the airflow a lot smoother, but I might be wrong.. I`ll find out in a couple of weeks when the engine is going to the dyno I`m almost done with the intake manifold,so in a couple of days more I`ll be posting pics of it. It`s going to look really nice, made of polished SS.

Well, the exhaust is starting to get together. There was less space than I was hoping, but it might work..

The primaries is 14", and the megaphone is 23" going from 2 1/4" to 3". The muffler is 3" and 32" long. How will the straight primary pipes work compared to regular ones?

Any thoughts ? Lynn E. H.?

Thanks

Ronny

that collector is realyl close to the exhaust ports, are you runnign same diameter pipe after the collector? that looks to be all 2 inch exhaust other then for the megaphone. i would go witha larger diameter pipe at the collector.

With the exhaust, you do have another option in you want to increase the length before the collection point.

You can run the pipes as twins straight out of the engine as you have, but instead of collecting them there, you can run one pipe on top of the other and make both do a 180 degree turn, then collect nicely just before they go into the muffler.

By the looks of things there is more than enough room to do such a thing and with a nice smooth collector you will get a hp improvement.

Hello!!

In 1995 i build two Bp 6 port engines one that i had in my Rallycross car and one for circuit racing. The setup was nearly the same as you have on your engine one of the difference was on the middle plate that was made special for me.This engine was very easy to drive with lots of torque on low rpm and if i remember right it was around 270 HK on flywheel with Weber 51 IDA.We cut a Racing Beat 4 port manifold in pieces and made it fit to this 6 port engine with good result (this was before you could buy manifold to this engine). All i can say is that it was like a street ported in low rpm and nearly a PP at high rpm so it work well, the only problem we had was with the exhaust and that was not easy to solve but we get it working after we have tryed many different exhaust set up.The engine was put into a circuit racing car and is in pieces in my garage after it was going hot buy todays owner Mikael Mohlin (Just kidding).A problem you can get when using 2 pieces apex seals with Bp is that the small piece drops down into the Bp so if i was you i had choose i piece apex instead of two piece. If you have some question about this engine you can send me a mail.
