Pro - flow

Con - port timing

Is it worth it? I couldn't tell you.... that's why I'm -trying- to do it myself.

Been there, done that! I like the Turbo plates a hell of a lot better than the six ports. Con - port timing. I'd have to disagree with that. That's why they invented a technique called intake porting. I have done both a street ported six port and a mild bridged 4port (turboII plates) with '91 9.7 to 1 assemblys and I would have to say that turboII motor was the better of the two. Kind of hard to compare the two since one was bridged and the other streetported, mind you a very large streetport. I just don't like the design of the six port like already stated flow is better on the turbo plates. Hell I have a set of Cosmo 13B RE plates that I want to put together N/A to see how it goes.

On the port-timing argument;

Port for port, the 6pt is bigger than the 4pt. The timing will always be bigger, due to the casting of 4 vs. 6

Still what's gunna run better? A huge cam on a restrivtive intake; or an agressive cam with a straight-shot.
