the rev limiter will not work with the msd because as it was explained to me the rev limiter will plainly shut down spark 100% wich is not good. i wouldnt have even put a msd on a s4 or 5 rx7 . i would have put the jacobs rotary pro pac on it. my 7 lost power and had other issues with the msd and the jacobs wich i later installed fixed all the problems and had an option for a soft touch rev limit

The igniters are not required to run the MSD. I run both MSD-6ALs from the leading pickup only. Both leading and trailing fire together.

Run primary wires well away from secodary wires.

My 9,600 rev chips work just fine.

The rev feature does not shut off the engine.

The rev feature does no damage at all.

It sounds bad, but an exploding flywheel/clutch sounds worse.

The driver learns what the engine sounds like just before the rev limiter comes in, so he can shift without hitting it. God forbid anyone would look at the great big tach.............

It is a training aid, and it saves engines.
