Mixing tension bolts...
I need to replace a couple S4 N/A tension bolts(the narrow shank kind that look like they were made on a lathe). Should I go for the newer larger diameter smooth shank bolts? Would there be a problem with expansion/stretch coefficients? If I could afford it I'd just get all new bolts and not worry about it.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I would not mix the two styles. I have nothing other than a feeling that it would be bad mojo.
It just dosn't sound right.

My '71-'73 engine came with narrow shank tension bolts that appear to have been made on a lathe. Can I switch to 1st gen RX-7 12A tension bolts?
i'm 99.99999% sure you can.
