I'm rebuilding my first engine and have the older 3b plates with some pitting where the water o-ring meets it. Want that pitting sealed up. So just squeeze a bead into the rotor housing groove (84-85 gsl-se rotor housing), place the water o-ring in the groove and the goo will squeeze all around the seal once it's stacked?

And use Threebond 1215 on the legs + oil pan?

We just tried RR's advice on a recent engine. Never going back to anything else...

I've always used superglue to hold the seals in and a smear of silicone sealant over everything.

The only difficulty is that you have to assemble the engine "dry" and then squirt oil in through the intake and exhaust ports and spark plug holes.

But, again, never once had a problem.
