yes the oil metering system injects oil outside of the oil system. it injects oil into the combustion chamber, so even if it went wrong you wouldn't find anything in the pan

Found the problem. The thrust plate is worn and the thrust washer is worn to nothing.

This is not looking good!! Front stationary gear teeth and rotor teeth are chewed up and the bearings are bad.

thats fucked up, my guess is something happened to your oiling system. was the oil pressure normal?



maybe you'll find some blocked passages, or perhaps a failed thermo-pellet in the eccentric shaft. If you werent running the plug that eliminates it, you better test it before you reassemble (I recommend using the plug that eliminates it though!)

its wierd that the rotor bearing is fine, its like the one main bearing lost its oil supply?
