Half Bridgeport

exactly, if doing a bridgeport you shoudl upgrade all that is associated with a doing it properly otherwise the geans are nto gonan be that great plus u are in danger of hurtign the motor. if you took the time and money to do the bridge then do the rest. this is also why i dont like bridges and think most people should stick to streetporting. the costs of doing a proper bridge are much greater then what peopele think of it. a standalone should be a must anyway on pretty much any rx7 you get now, most rx7 i come across have a SHOT wire harness and the ecu doesnt work as it did back 10 years ago either, this includes the FDs also. so a standalone should be on your priority list anyway, even on a stock car you can get more power without any mods.

oh i agree with what you all are saying, i do need to go stand alone. The thing is i did a street port on it and took it into a shop , to have someone check out my work ,the guy said i did a good job but that he would hook me up .He said he would clean up my ruff spots and then put a little half bridge on it. This guy has bein porting rotory motors for 7 years. This bridge looks nothing like any other one i've seen. It is very short and wide when I asked why it looked like that he said because of over lap in timing so he made it short. I really dont know enough about over lap and timing to say. But he did a really nice job on it, looks outstanding. I do plan to upgrade injectors ,at least 720. But this guy tells me he is running the stock set up( ECU ) on his ride and doing great. I really dont want to blow my motor up after doing a rebuild. When i get it back i will take some pics of the port to show thanks for all your input
