hey i just got a half bridge put onto my s5 TII and want to know is it safe to run on the stock setup i do have a fcon and super AFR do i need bigger injectors? i do have the walbro pump also thanks Corbit

are u gonan run this on a stock ecu? i woudl recommend you get a haltech or a microtech. the stock computer is realyl nto meant to run what you have in there.
|
The stock computer most likely will not run it anyways. When go BP you need to upgrade everything...
|
ya i am going to try and run it on the stock ecu with my piggybacks. The guy who did my bridge is running his on the stock ecu but his is n/a
|
its kinda of a big diffrence runnign a bridge NA on teh stock ecu then a turbo. i assume you are not useing the stock turbo on you rbridge turbo?

Correct me if wrong. |

Would'nt that bridge snap under all the pressure put out by the turbo?? You rarely see bp turbo setups because of them supposedly snapping. I heard it somewhere.

They run fine, Rowearth. I've been doing these setups for just over a year now and have almost 15 of them out and about. The trick is to leave the seal bridge thick enough to withstand both seal spring pressure and heat cycling.
I don't think there's any way in the world a half-BP engine will run with the stock ECU. None whatsoever. I set my vehicles up using Haltech EFI systems and they take quite a bit of trickery and map changing to get them even in the ballpark. B |
sorry to hyjack this thread but ......so u can run your stock computer if u have a bridged n/a or ported in any way n/a?
|
Why spend all that money a BP motor and use the stock ecu and blow it up? You will need to get a aftermarket ecu, then get it tuned. There is also no point of running a stock or small turbo with a BP, you will only overboost the capabilities of the turbo. Don't forget fuel, stock will not be go enough.
Do it right the first time!!! |
