Well overlap would not really be an issue since the engine has overlap in its stock form. The only way this type of overlap volume can be reduced is if the engine was street ported instead of bridgeported.

The blue is called dorment blue. its really dark blue but in person it looks more like purple. I was told that it came out more purple looking becuase the irons are dark base. if the base had been like alum it would have turned out more blue.
