Fitting Questions
#1
Hi, im new here but i have a couple questions. Well, i am swapping a turbo II engine into my 86 n/a, i was wondering witht he turbo tranny and driveshaft, will the n/a differential work? if so do i need to get the driveshaft custom made becuase of the turbo tranny and n/a rear end. Or can I jsut use the turbo driveshaft on mazdatrix. Can the N/A rear end support around 220hp? I dont have a big budget and i cannot afford a 5-lug swap because mine is a base. Thanks

the turbo motor will bolt to the na trans, but you also have to use the na flywheel. the turbo trans has a larger output shaft than the na, and the turbo rear has a bigger flange, so if you put the turbo trans in you need a custom driveshaft to keep the na rear.
if you're driving gently the na drivetrain should be ok, but it wont handle much abuse.

Won't that throw the engine off ballance using a NA flywheel on a turboII rotating assembly?
