thanks, you cleared a lot up for me. but i have just a few more things im not sure of.

in your picture. theres 2 lines on the driver side of the motor. the bottom is where i am supposed to tap the front iron. what is the other one, with oil flowing in from the oil filter stand?

and the line from the front cover to the external oil pump is for scavenge? like in this picture, but only one???

On the front iron you have 2 brass plugs upper plug is the oil feed for the front main you run a -10 line from the oil filter bypass block to help feed this main and also you still have the internal oil gally.Tthe lower plug is the pump outlet gally. tapping this you can bypass all the sharp turns and weak oring setup in the front cover. This should go threw a filter and oil cooler in a -12 line then to the oil filter bypass block. you can run 2 3 how ever many scavenge lines you want i just didnt feel like trying to draw that in paint

i think my problem is, whenever i read something, i go out and look at my front iron of the motor so i can visualize this. but it i just compared it to a 12a (i dont have a 13b one to compare to in person) and its VERY different.

i'll post pics so maybe this can be clarified. theres a few brass plugs on the front of the iron. but they are not in the same places. and the over all look of it all is different. maybe the oil paths are a little different also...

The lower plug near the pan rail is the presure side of the pump this go's threw a filter and cooler then to the filter bypass block. Then the upper plug is the external oil feed line from the bypass to the front main -10 line. You also need to plug the hole the would normal feed the front cover.
