Different Xhaust Port Pics
#1
I am still struggling with what xhaust port to pair my intakes up with.
Yaw explains the best flow can be had with the old style almost square ported shape. Timing seems towards longer opening, not much earlier
pic1
Japanese tuners fancy the more rounded shapes and go both up and down.
pic2
Or even bigger without a sleeve and in all directions.
pic3
So anyone here has the experience with any of those. Granted some of these ports are intended for use with a turbo and others are not but frankly, I don't think that should make any difference. If it flows well without PSI it will flow well with.
I looked at all the timings published on Yaw's site. Can they be any good if they are published? Who actually runs unmodified MFRs?
Lots of input wanted and appreciated
Thanks
